Our beginnings

We are a registered charity founded by Martin Lightbody as a legacy of his passion for sports and the opportunities sport gave him in life and in business. We recognise sport as a power for good and we want to create opportunities for disadvantaged young people to access and participate in sports to improve their lives and futures.

Sport teaches discipline, gives confidence, creates role models and promotes sociability. We want to use sport as a vehicle to encourage independence, improve self esteem and allow participants an opportunity to form positive relationships.

 I. Advancement of public participation in sport in disadvantaged areas.

II. Advancement of physical and mental health.

III. Promotion of education and development of self-confidence and interpersonal skills.

IV.Provision of recreational facilities or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended.
